Candy Making in California

It is always fun to go to Drew's grandparent's house to make Christmas candy.  Drew and his grandpa have it down to a science so it is fun to watch them work while Alden, Grammy and me play and talk.  I am always impressed at how much candy they make in one day and this year was no exception.  Drew and his grandpa made 4 batches of english toffee, 2 batches of rocky road, 2 batches of peppermint bark, 2 batches of peanut brittle, 1 batch of peanut butter bars and 2 rice krispy cakes.   Here are some pictures of our fun day with the grandparents.

Alden loved trying to sneak chocolate chips to snack on.

All of our english toffee and Drew cutting the rocky road.

Making peanut brittle on a very heavy marble slab.

I am so grateful for family time and the opportunity I had to visit with family over Christmas break.  I love watching Drew with his grandparents and I am so grateful for the opportunities that I get to see them!
