Zoo Lights

During Thanksgiving weekend Drew's brother, wife and son came to visit us in Washington.  It was great getting to see them again and let our boys play together.  Alden loved having his buddy Brendon here for a few days so that he had someone else to play with.  While they were here we had an improvised Thanksgiving dinner (we had a tiny kitchen and almost no dishes), we did some Black Friday shopping and we went and saw the Zoo Lights.  Zoo lights was a lot of fun (even though it was a little chilly) and the boys seemed to enjoy looking at all the lights.  We love family bonding time and we had a lot of fun.  Here are some pictures from our trip to the zoo.

The boys all bundled up in the strollers to go see the lights!

We went inside to the aquarium to watch the sharks for a little bit.  The boys liked walking around and being warm for awhile.

So many pretty lights!

Alden liked the lights that moved.  The ones like this that had animals chasing things were some of his favorites.

Yay for brother bonding time!

We had a blast and we are so grateful for the family who came and visited us.

Snow at Mount Rainier

A couple Saturdays ago we drove to Mount Rainier National Park to walk around and explore a little.  Luckily we had packed warm clothes because when we got there we found that there was a lot of snow to play with.  Alden had a blast running around in the snow and trying to pick it up.  However, his favorite thing there was the puddles.  He loved jumping in the puddles and watching the water move.  We had a blast exploring and playing.  Here are some pictures and videos from our day.

Alden all bundled up and ready to go explore.

Alden loved having lots of new area to explore.

Alden kept asking for me to take his gloves off, but we decided we didn't want his fingers to freeze.

We all loved being up there.

It was so pretty at Mount Rainier and I loved getting to be there during fresh snowfall.

Alden and Daddy were trying to clean the snow off the fence.  It was really cute and entertaining. Here is a video of it.

Alden found his puddles.

Drew was pretending that someone put snow down his back...but no one actually did.
I love my boys!  So cute together!
Time for lunch!  Alden ate some applesauce and fruit snacks and then decided he would rather play

Here are a couple videos of Alden with the snowman.  He liked just standing next to it and laughing as Drew threw snowballs at it.  Video 1

Our snowman and Alden's snow angel.  Here is a video of Drew helping Alden make his first snow angel.

Alden had fun trying to make snow angels and rolling in the snow.

We had a blast playing in the snow at Mount Rainier but it was also really nice that we got to go play in it but we could leave it behind when we were done!
