Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

We took Alden to another zoo with an aquarium on Halloween.  It was fun to see more animals and see Alden discover new things.  The zoo wasn't too busy except for the fact that there was a school field trip on the day we were there so there were tons of kids running around.  We just made sure Alden got to see everything that he wanted to and it worked out well.  Here our the pictures from our day at the zoo and aquarium.

Alden LOVED these fish!

Alden had fun looking for cool fish with Daddy and then watching the jellyfish intently.

This was cute because Alden was trying to step out of the mouth and when he figured out that he couldn't just walk out of it he started reaching for me to get him out.  He got out right after the second picture was taken.

Alden liked watching these because they would come right up to the window and swing across.

Alden did not find the tiger interesting...he wasn't moving, instead Alden wanted to watch the waterfall.

These penguins were really fun to watch because they were swimming, diving and moving around a ton.  Here is a video of it.

I am trying to remember the name of this animal because I had never heard of it before...but my mind is drawing a blank.

Alden loves to eat with both hands...especially when he gets his strawberry "cookies."

Alden liked watching the meerkats because they moved a lot and entertained him.








We had a great day at the zoo and it is fun to see Alden discovering and learning so much!
