We were so happy that the Sunday after Anders was born the doctors were ready to let us take him home! We had been in the hospital almost a week and I was so ready to go home and let Alden meet his new little brother! I am so grateful that Anders got the care he needed but I was ready to go home and it was so nice to know that Anders was healthy enough to come home. I really have more empathy now for those who have babies who are in the NICU for months. I can only imagine how hard that is. I am grateful that Anders only needed a week.

Alden seemed to take to his brother right away and was good at just gently touching him.
After his nap, Grandma helped Alden hold his little brother. It was super cute! Here is a video of Alden holding Anders for the first time.
I was so happy to be home and be able to hold my precious baby as much as I wanted.
