Broadmoor Date Night

So, Drew has been talking about wanting to do a date night with me at the Broadmoor since we moved here but I kept putting it off because it was so pricey.  Little did I know that Drew had been stashing money away for the last six months and so he could finally take me.  It was so sweet of him!

It was an early Valentine's Day date because my mom was in town, so we had a babysitter and we had a night without other obligations that we could go.  We also figured it would be a lot less busy if we didn't actually go on Valentine's day.  He took me to the Penrose room and I can honestly say that it is the fanciest meal I have ever had.  The food was amazing and there were a ton of courses!  It was a wonderful night for the two of us and in addition to dinner we loved just walking the grounds of the hotel. 

 The hotel is gorgeous and I love all the lights!

 We loved walking the ground before dinner.  The lake there is beautiful.

 We also loved watching the geese.  It was really funny to watch them come land on the ice and then slide across it!

 It was really nice to have a night out for the two of us with no kids or work obligations.

 Then they brought this tray of goodies out after dessert.

We were seated right next to the window looking out at the lake.  It was a great date night and it was wonderful to have time to the two of us.
