My favorite part of his birthday was that Alden asked me if we could set up some surprises for him while he napped. Alden wanted to make him chocolate chip cookies because he knows his brother likes them and he wanted to set up a game for him. It was so sweet to see Alden thinking of his brother and doing something so nice for him!
Alden helped measure and pour in everything for the cookies!
Then he helped scoop them all onto the tray.
A couple years ago for Alden's party we put this up and then the kids had to pin Woodstock onto snoopy so it looked like Snoopy was giving Woodstock a hug. Alden was very determined to get out this game and put it up again for his brother!
When Anders finally woke up Alden was so excited to show him the cookies.
Then they got to play the game together!
Anders figured out how to hold up three fingers to show how old he is.
After dinner Anders got to open a few presents and he was so excited!
I loved seeing his smile!
Alden kept trying to help him.
He got a remote control "monster truck," as he called it, from Mimi and Papa and was so excited
After presents we went downstairs and watched some cartoons as a family. Anders loved getting to eat his popcorn while he watched. Overall, I think he really enjoyed his birthday!
