Kah-Nee-Tah Resort, Oregon

On our way back to Washington from California we stopped at a resort on an Indian reservation in Oregon.  It was called Kah-Nee-Tah Resort and we had a great time there!  It was really nice to have a couple days to ourselves where we could relax and enjoy each other's company.  It was a beautiful area to walk around in and we had really nice weather for the full day that we were there.  We had fun playing mini-golf, going to the pool (even though Alden hated that) and enjoying a picnic and being outside.  I am glad that we got to stop there and have a few days of down time again before everything got crazy with work and life again.

Alden had so much fun walking around and exploring!
There was this pretty river right near the hotel that Alden enjoyed watching.

Alden wanted to go explore the tepee's they had there and since most of them were empty he could do that.

They seemed like they would actually be pretty fun to stay in.

Alden wanted to mini-golf too and it was fun to watch him try and figure out what he needed to do.

Drew figured out this clever thing where he pokes a hole in top of the cap of water bottles and then lets Alden drink out of that so it is harder to spill.

Alden was so happy to be outside and exploring.
Daddy starting spraying Alden with the water bottle and he loved it!  He kept asking for "more, more!"

We took Alden swimming in the pool, which was really nice and warm, but he HATED it.  He screamed and screamed and screamed. Hopefully it grows on him with time.

After the very unsuccessful swim outing we walked over to where Alden could see the horses and he really liked that!

The mineral hot spring right next to our hotel.

This was the pool up at the lodge.
Alden and Daddy had fun driving cars together in the arcade while we waited for dinner.
This was our hotel room (2 queen beds) and the bunny that Alden is holding is one that Daddy won from an arcade game on the second try.
The second day we were there we woke up to rain but it was still really pretty.

All of us had fun on our walk in the rain!
And of course, we had to go check out the tepee's in the rain and see how dry they were...the answer, very dry.

Alden decided halfway through the walk that he didn't care if he got wet and took his hood off.

We had a great time at the resort and I really enjoyed being in a more remote area for a couple days.
