Washington State Fair- Trip 1

The Washington State Fair took place at the fairgrounds in Puyallup in the beginning of September.  We went on the first day the fair opened because we could get in for free before noon.  It was really fun for Alden because he got to see lots of different animals and I took him to his first rodeo show.  I haven't been to a rodeo since I was a teenager so it was also fairly new to me too.  We had a fun day together walking around the fairgrounds, eating different food, seeing all the animals and watching the rodeo.

Alden loved walking through the farm buildings where they just had rows and rows of animals.

They had dolewhip there, which is one of Drew's favorite treats, so we had to get one and eat it in honor of Drew.  It was really yummy!

We had good seats for the rodeo and Alden loved watching all the horses!
We really enjoyed watching the little kids ride on the sheep's' backs.  There was one little boy who did really well!
Alden liked watching the sheep riding and horses better than the bucking broncos and I don't blame him.  Although it was all very entertaining.
We found a barn after the rodeo that had lots of bunnies which Alden loved!
By the time that we were ready to leave Alden was exhausted and he took a nice long nap! It was a fun and exciting day for both of us!
