Great Wolf Lodge - Day 2

Our second day at Great Wolf Lodge was a ton of fun.  We stayed very busy between running around with Alden's wand, swimming, playing at the arcade, participating in other little activities and keeping everyone fed.  It was a great day with lots of fun activities for everyone.

We started our day by watching the morning musical show in the lobby because Alden thought it was so cool the night before and he wanted to see it again.  Then we went on some quests with Alden's wand before the pool opened and then we went there until lunch time.  We had a great time hanging out at the pool and playing there for awhile.  It is so fun to see Alden exploring more and doing more on his own, even if the slides and wave pool still scare him.  Anders even took a nap at the pool, which surprised me because it was so loud but it worked out well.  While he napped Drew and I took turns taking Alden around to explore different things.

We started our day in the lobby waiting for everything to start.  Alden had fun in the lobby with his wand while Anders watched.
Alden was very excited to watch the musical show again.
Anders was happy to be up and able to look at everything as we walked around.
Alden finished one little quest before we headed to the pool.
This was pretty much Alden's favorite thing at the water park.  Alden loved this jet ski!  He was very happy to sit here and just spray water for 20-30 minutes at a time.
Anders looking around at all of the kids running around.
This was the great kids play area that Alden had fun exploring.  We even got Alden to go down the slide you can see in the picture a couple of times.  For Alden, that is a huge accomplishment and we were just glad he loved playing and exploring the area so much.
I actually really enjoyed just sitting off to the side and cuddling with my sleeping baby for awhile.  I had a good view of the kids' play area, so I could watch Alden play and I loved snuggling with Anders, because he does not do it as much as he used to.

After we finished at the pool we got a pizza and took it back to our room to eat and we also rested there for a little bit.  Once Alden had rested a little he was ready to go back out with his wand again.  He was also really excited to go to the arcade and play a few games.  Once we finished at the arcade we went back to the room again because Alden was more tired than he wanted to admit.  We took him back to the room and let him rest and eat a snack for a little while.

Alden and Anders excited to be questing again.
Then it was on to the arcade games.
Alden is getting a lot more independent with the arcade games and it is fun seeing him remember games and improve on them from last time.
Anders was apparently really tired, because he fell back asleep again at the arcade.
Alden was willing to ask for help on a few games when he needed it.
Just like last time, Alden was so excited to get to play air hockey with Daddy.
I don't know why but I think it is so fun to watch him play!  He looks so cute!

Alden has figured out this game now so that he actually rolls the balls and gets them in about 75% of the time which is a huge improvement over the last time he played this game.
Alden loves hammering in these games and he is very determined to do it on his own.
This was what was painted on the walls in the boys' area of our hotel room.

After being in the room for awhile Alden seemed to be in a better mood when we took him back down to the pool.  After the pool we decided to check out some kids' activities in the lobby and that ended up being a lot of fun.  Alden got a sword balloon and Anders got a balloon wolf.  Alden was really excited about that and then he got excited when he got to play a game of bingo and won a little rubber duck that looked like a monkey.  They also had hula hoops out that Alden had fun playing with.  Drew and I even got in on the action and tried to hula hoop too but it was pretty sad.  I used to be able to hula hoop really well and I could not do it all when I tried there.

Anders kept trying to steal the wolf balloon to chew on it but we didn't think it would be very good if it popped in his mouth so we kept taking it away from him.
So, Anders was very happy when they gave him his own little rubber duck to chew on.  Alden was very excited to play Bingo and find all of the numbers that he knew on his board.

Alden had a lot of fun playing with the hula hoops and even Drew tried to spin one...rather unsuccessfully.  But, we all had a lot of fun goofing off!

On our way back to the room from the lobby we let Alden do a little more with his wand before we went to bed for the night.  We had a great day but we were all very tired and worn out by the time we got to the room.
Anders was getting tired again at this point too, even with both of his naps.  It was a day packed with activities that was a lot of fun!
