Alden's Transportation Birthday Party

A few weeks after Alden's birthday we threw his second birthday party.  We had a transportation theme with planes, cars and trains.  I had a lot of fun making all the food for the party which we served lunch at.  I made pulled pork and hot dogs and sandwiches for the kids.  We also had fruit, veggies and lots of sweets, as you will see. Alden had so much fun playing with all the other kids and I think his favorite part of having a birthday was getting to blow out the candles on his cake.

These were the cookies that I made for Alden's party.  They are sugar cookies with a super yummy frosting!
These are the cookies again. Planes, trains and cars. It is fun getting to decorate fun cookies, even if it does take quite a bit of time.
We had so many sweets out. (Alden's favorite were the M&Ms) and you can see Alden's train cake in the background.

This was Alden blowing out the candles on his cake. He was so excited!

This was all the lunch food we had out and the chocolate dipped pretzel rods made to look like stop lights.
Later that day after Alden's birthday party Daddy let Alden blow out his candles over and over again for fun. He thought that it was so much fun! Here is a video of him blowing them out.
