Alden loved exploring everything. There was this little stream near our camp that Alden enjoyed throwing rocks and sticks into.
All of the kids had fun playing at and exploring the stream.
We went on a walk the first morning that we were there and walked around the lake. There were lots of very large duck families swimming around.
Alden kept stopping to pick up new sticks on our walk.
We were staying in this cabin and you can set our extensive set-up in front of the cabin. We had a very nice cooking set-up thanks to our friends!
The girls had a good time relaxing for part of the afternoon. (The picture of me was taken by Alden)
Alden and Drew had fun playing their version of "hide and seek" together. Can you find them in the second picture?
Alden didn't want to nap but he eventually crashed in my camping chair because he was so tired.
The dads decided to join in on nap time.
They had horses at the camp that we could have signed up to ride but none of us did. Alden enjoyed just seeing the horses.
Alden loved hanging out with the big kids.
Drew and I took Alden out on a canoe while we were there. I was no help to Drew because Alden would not let me put him down. He insisted on sitting on my lap the whole time we were on the canoe but once we got going he enjoyed it.
Our friends also took a canoe out with their bigger kids.
This is Alden's little buddy, Cody, standing in our "kitchen."
This was the giant water slide that Drew, Ucre and the big kids had a lot of fun on.
Ucre would help push kids down so that the tube spun as they went down the slide.
All the kids on the slide kept teaming up together to make chains or ride tubes together.
Even Drew got on and had some rides.
We had a lot of fun making smores the second night we were there. The kids had a lot of fun and really enjoyed them.
This was Drew's perfected smore.
I loved watching all the kids make and eat smores. As you can probably tell by the pictures, Alden wasn't interested. He just wanted to steal all the chocolate.
The grown-ups also had fun making smores with Reese's. They were really yummy and decadent.
Drew and Tori had fun sword fighting with these little glow sticks that we had.
Alden had a lot of fun on our camping trip. He wanted to keep playing and so getting him to sleep was a little hard, but it was worth it!
Our friends had these cast iron things that you could use to make little pies in the fire. They were really yummy and easy to make.
The last morning we were there, Alden was so happy and he was very sad when it came time to leave.
There were also these swings right behind the cabins. The kids had a lot of fun on them. This was right before we left the big kids were pushing the two little ones. It was really sweet. We had a great time camping and we are so grateful to our friends who invited us on this great trip!
