Alden was all ready to go and excited from the second he saw the boat.
We had our own little bench on the boat with a little table. This was Alden looking at their menu.
Alden wanted to go on the outside part of the deck right away.
I love being out on the water. I think it is so beautiful.
They served fresh coffee cake on the boat that was really good.
This was on San Juan Island. It was sunny and gorgeous.
While we were walking around downtown Alden decided he was ready for his nap.
Drew and I got our lunch at a deli in downtown and then we took it down to the waterfront to eat. It was really yummy!
We also got Alden a slurpee which he really enjoyed while he watched all the birds after he woke up.
Drew and I got an ice cream to share and Alden decided he wanted it to be his. =) He loves his ice cream! Here is a video of him eating the ice cream with a little bit of help from Daddy.
The people running the boat were really nice and brought Alden a little bucket of toys to play with when it looked like he was getting bored. Alden loved playing with the little dinosaurs.
In the afternoon we went all the way into Canadian waters to find orcas. We got to see some transient orcas who were passing through the area looking for food. Earlier in the day they had been chasing a seal that actually jumped onto another boat to escape the Orcas. They were three of them and they were moving quickly when we saw them.
We had a really fun day of whale watching and spending time together as a family. Alden loved being on the boat and seeing all the animals. I am so grateful that we go to go on this trip as a family and see the really cool whales together. I love giving Alden opportunities to see and learn about new things!
