So, our yard has needed some work since we moved in and this was just one day of yard work. Drew tore out our "forest" as we had taken to calling it. It was a bunch of overgrown plants that had taken over the area. Drew ripped all of them out and we put wood chips over the area.

This was the collection of things we found among our over grown plants.
There were lots of these slugs among the plants. We moved all of them to another area.
Alden had a lot of fun riding his bike up and down the street while Dad worked.
At the end, Alden came over and and wanted to help Daddy pull all the little weeds that were left. It was really cute.
This was just one Saturday of work around our house. It has been a lot more work taking care of our yard and house than an apartment (which I expected) but well worth it.
