Natural Bridges Beach

We had a lot of fun going and visiting a beach in California while we were there.  We had wanted to take Alden to the San Francisco zoo but we never had enough time because there was so much going on the week we were there.  We always have next time. =)  The beach was a shorter trip but still lots of fun and Alden still got to see at least a few animals in some tide pools.  It was a normal chilly day on the northern California coast but it was still pleasant.

Even though it was a sand beach, Alden still managed to find rocks to throw in the water.

Alden was excited to find bird prints in the sand.
We walked a little ways to find some tide pools with critters in them for Alden.  He was excited to see the animals but also a little nervous to fall in so he made sure to hold Mommy's hand the whole time.
You can see the sea anemone and sea snails in here.

Alden enjoying the view of the beach.

There was also a little trail near the beach that we decided to walk.
We asked Alden if he was tall enough to touch this tree and he said no.

Then we started playing a game of hide and seek with Daddy.  Alden would make me stop while Daddy walked out of view and then we would go find him.  It was fun to watch Alden look for Daddy.
Alden searching for Daddy.
Daddy found us!  Apparently we took a different fork in the path and so he could sneak up behind us.
This is a video of one of the times Alden "found" Daddy.
The visitor's center had lots of things that Alden thought were fun to look at.  I really do love that my child is curious about things and wants to learn,
