Alden was a little scared of these ones. But they did look a little intimidating, so who can blame him?
Alden is holding his scavenger hunt paper here that he kept using to try and find dinosaurs even though he couldn't really read it. It was cute.
Look, Alden actually got to ride a baby triceratops. (By the way, sorry about the lighting in these pictures. It was funky throughout all of the exhibits.)
Alden "digging" for dinosaur bones.
He had fun trying to find stuff with his brush in the sand.
Alden wanted to see if there were buttons to push on all the signs in front of the dinosaurs and then would ask us what they were when the signs didn't have buttons that would tell him.
Alden also got to have a little mining experience. He was given a big bag of dirt and then had to sift through it for the neat rocks.
Anders slept peacefully while we explored and played.
Alden thought this was really neat and then was excited he got to keep his rocks.
This is a giant bouncy slide that Alden was determined he wanted to go on. However, just as I expected, after we had waited in line and got to the front he decided it was too big and wanted to leave.
So we went and found something that was more Alden's size.
They also had this little mini-golf course set up for the kids that Alden thought was a lot of fun.
Anders finally woke up while Alden was golfing.
The last thing we did was let Alden explore this maze. Alden and Dad went in together first and then Alden just went through it on his own. He thought it was so much fun to explore. We had a really fun time together and I loved that Alden was so happy looking at and doing everything.
