There were a lot of animals out and active this day which was a lot of fun to see. We also got to see multiple animals feedings, which was a lot of fun. Alden thought it was interesting to watch the feeding in the giant fish tank. I was really excited that we got to see the clouded leopard cubs out. They were playing around and it was really cute to see.
After walking through the whole zoo we went and got lunch at a little sandwich place and then drove to a nearby beach. It was a beautiful and sunny day at the beach, but unfortunately, that meant that it was rather frigid. Our group lasted about ten minutes there before there was a consensus that we should go home where it was warm. It was still a fun day and it was nice to show Drew's parents and sisters the beach near us.
Anders was all bundled up and stayed warm!
Alden and Anders both enjoyed looking at the jellyfish exhibit.
Alden loved having family there to look at all the different animals with him.
They were doing a feeding in this exhibit that Alden enjoyed watching. It was fun seeing a lot of the fish try to get the food.
Alden pointing out the sharks to Mimi, Kayla and Kenzie.
Alden enjoying looking at some of the sting rays with Mimi.
I convinced McKenzie to try and touch a sting ray...
Apparently it surprised her with how slimy it was.
She did not like it and proceeded to sanitize her hands very intensely.
This guy was out enjoying sitting in the sun.
Anders had a lot of fun looking at everything from the stroller, including the tigers who were not really doing much this day.
This gibbon was out swinging around some.
Alden had to make sure he looked through every window in the aquarium, even if it had almost the same view as the one before.
Drew was trying to stay warm while pushing Anders around. It really was a frigid day.
The arctic foxes were out running around. I think they are so pretty with their winter coats!
We even got to see a reindeer!
The oomingak were all just standing around...I don't think I have ever really seen them move much.
Our group walking the empty trails at the zoo together. I really loved that it was not crowded at all!
Everyone enjoying watching the clouded leopard cubs play around.
Sorry I had to take the pictures through the fence, but the clouded leopard cubs are there.
This was the view looking out at the sound from the beach. It really was a beautiful day and I am glad that we could spend it outside, even if it was rather cold.
