Decorating the Christmas Tree

We had a lot of fun decorating the Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving.  Alden has been asking to put up the Christmas tree for months so he was extremely excited that it was finally time!  I was also really excited because December is my favorite month of the year.  I love celebrating Christmas and getting to spend time with family and friends.  It was also really nice to get to put up the Christmas tree with Drew here.  It was hard not having him here for the holidays last year so it was really nice to start the Christmas season knowing that we will be together.

Alden wanted to help get the Christmas ornaments out.

The tree is up and luckily all of the lights came on!

I love pulling out the ornaments every year and looking at them.  We collect ornaments as we travel and so it is fun to see the ornaments and remember the memories associated with them.

Anders wanted to explore and figure out what was going on.  We had to keep pulling him away from the ornaments and the tree.

I even got to decorate the tree too!

We are all so happy to have so much to look forward to this month!

Anders was so cute and happy!  He loved playing with the Santa hat and looking at the Christmas lights as we put some up.

He is such a sweetheart with a smile that can brighten anyone's day!

I am so blessed to have Anders in my life.  I can not imagine my life with out him and I don't wish to.  I am a better person because I have him and Alden in my life.  They remind me to smile at the little things and to enjoy the moments, even when it seems like there is too much that needs to be done.

Alden and Anders already love playing and laughing together and I am so excited to watch them grow up together!  We hope everyone is looking forward to the holiday season as much as we are.
