New Year's Day

Our New Year's Day was very relaxed and so we just got to enjoy some quality family time at home together.  We enjoyed sitting around watching football, eating snacks, playing and goofing off.  I actually love days like this once in awhile where I can just take a breath, relax and enjoy some time with just our family, without having to do anything.  I thought it was actually a great way to celebrate the first day of 2016, enjoying time as a family and knowing that no matter what happens we will always be together and have each other.

We did go out for a frigid, cold walk at the park near our house in the middle of our day and it was a nice little outing.  Alden really enjoyed seeing the little frozen pond that he tried to throw rocks into.  That did not work very well because the rocks just bounced off, but Alden thought that was cool.  We had a very nice New Year's Day and I am excited to see what the year of 2016 brings for us.

Alden cuddling with Daddy while watching football, while Anders stays close by.
Alden stopping to look at the frost and moss on our walk/ bike ride for Alden.
It was a very pretty walk because the sun was out, but because there were no clouds it was actually colder than normal so we were all rather chilly, even with our layers.
Well, Anders stayed warm in his snow suit, but it is a little easier to bundle him.
There was frost all over the ground and this is the little frozen pond that Alden found.
The boys had to try throwing rocks in the lake.

Anders had fun watching them throw rocks at the lake.
Later that evening Anders decided to check out some of the ornaments on the bottom branches of the Christmas tree.
He was just so adorable sitting there, playing with this Eeyore ornament!  I love my little baby and I am so excited to see how he grows and changes over the next year with Alden.
