Zoo Lights

I have loved going to the Zoo Lights at Point Defiance Zoo every year since we moved here.  It has been a memorable part of our holiday season that all of us have enjoyed together.  Alden always loves going to the zoo and he loves seeing the Christmas lights everywhere, especially the ones that depict animals.  It always astounding to see the magnitude of lights that they put up and how they make the whole zoo light up and glow in a beautiful way!  Here are some of the pictures we took of the fun displays!

This is looking out over the middle of the park when you first come in the zoo.  I think it is really beautiful.
I thought the cacti were fun and I especially liked the owl in the tree.
Alden rode in the stroller where he could stay all bundled up and just pointed out animals and things he thought were cool as we walked around.

The penguins and a giant crab!
These are a little blurry, but I thought this little raccoon display was really cute.
This is the giant tiger head that I always remember being very memorable.
A little baby tiger cub running in the trees.
This was one of Drew and Alden's favorite things at the zoo.  Alden loved the "giant snake."
Alden got scared of this spider and he did not want to go under it.
Alden really enjoyed pointing things out to us as we walked around.
I love the rainbow lights!

I love that they have the aquarium open during zoo lights so that you can go escape the cold for a few minutes and see all the fish!  That is always a fun part of our night at zoo lights.
Both my boys always seemed to be mesmerized by jelly fish.

I love this scene for some reason.  I don't know why but I love the image of the wolf howling at the moon.
Alden loved just finding all the animals and pointing them out to us as he told us what they were.

I love the whale family traveling underneath the bridge. It is a really cool light display.
All three of my boys had fun looking at the lights and I am so glad that we made this an annual tradition while we have lived here!
