After our dinner we went over to a friend's house to play some games and let the kids watch a movie together. It was a lot of fun to have a game night and it ended up being really nice because all of our kids fell asleep and so we were able to play until midnight and celebrate the new year. I had a great time and it was nice to have a New Year's with Drew for the first time in a few years.
Before dinner Anders was showing off how he is figuring out how to actually move around in his walker. I love it!
This was our dinner set-up. I loved that I got to use my Winnie-the-Pooh china for this meal.
We had pork, brussel sprouts, bread, salad and sparkling cider for dinner. I thought it was all really yummy!
Anders enjoyed his baby food and trying a few nibbles of Mommy's bread.
Alden and Daddy had fun enjoying dinner together and Alden loved that we had sparkling cider so that we could say "cheers" and clink our glasses lots of time. I think that it is adorable how much he loves doing that.
We tried this new game (I can't remember what it is called) at our friend's house where you had to balance all these sticks on each other, which was a lot of fun!
We then had fun introducing our friends to the game of Pandemic which Drew and I really enjoy playing. It was so nice to have time to play games and relax with friends as we celebrated the start of a new year!
It was sweet seeing Alden all curled up on the couch asleep because he was so tuckered out. This was the first New Year's that we let him stay up as late as he wanted and he made it to about 10 PM. It was a great night with some wonderful friends.
