Point Defiance Beach with the Pedersens

We took my family to the beach at Point Defiance while they were visiting and it ended up being a really fun outing.  It was fun to see my sister, Maren, find so many critters on the beach and I thought the beach was really pretty.  Alden also had fun riding his bike along part of the boardwalk and it was fun for Drew and I to also be able to explore somewhere new. I am glad that my family was willing to be a little adventurous and go to so many new places with us while they were here!

Alden had fun showing off his new biking skills to Grandpa.
I love my siblings! (To my siblings: Please don't hate me for posting this picture, I just thought it was really sweet, I love you guys!)

Walking along the paved area above the beach.
Alden decided he wanted to explore the beach too!

Alden getting help from Daddy and Grandpa while exploring the beach!
Erik and Drew were skipping rocks together to see how well they could do.
It is great getting to spend time together!
Maren was so good at finding all sorts of critters on the beach and she didn't even care when it started raining!

She found this awesome starfish and lots of little crabs.
I found this little starfish clinging to a piece of glass.  I got it to slowly release the piece of glass and then moved it back so it was protected again.
I love having a sister who can find all sorts of animals to show my son!
Alden wasn't too sure about the crab but he came over and saw it.
After hanging around on the beach for awhile we walked over to a huge park nearby where they were doing something called the "taste of Tacoma," I think.  They were selling tons of different food and so my Dad got something to try and it was fun looking around at all the booths to see all the different food that people were selling.  I had a really fun time on this outing and I am glad that I got to share it with my family!
