Zoo Day for Alden

We have had tons of rain recently but there have been a few days with sunshine.  We decided to take advantage of one of those days and go to the zoo.  Alden had a great time going around and seeing all the different animals.  It is fun because Alden knows what all the animals are now so he will tell me what they are.  There are a few he still needs helps with but for the most part he just tells me about the animals.  I love it when Alden shows me how much he is learning and how much he loves to learn.  It makes me really happy.

Alden got to see the sting rays getting fed while we were there.

Alden liked watching all the colorful fish in this giant tank.

Alden was so excited to see multiple sharks and tell me about them.

There are baby tigers somewhere in this enclosure but we didn't get to see them.  It seemed the mom was just sitting out to guard all of them.

The river otters were being really playful and Alden thought it was really funny.  He was so excited to watch them swim and run around.

Alden did not want to look at the camera to take a picture of us, he was very intent on watching the penguins.

You can't see the seals in this picture but they keep popping up in the tank as they swam around and Alden found it fascinating.
Alden was watching the puffins here but I couldn't get a good picture because I forgot my camera...I just had my phone.

Alden thought it was so fun to crawl into this and then pop out the top.

Alden loved running around the kids play area, especially because there were no other kids there at the time so he had it all to himself.

Alden found the cockroaches and snakes fascinating.  I am glad he doesn't seem scared of them and instead they just interest him.

Again, I wish I had had my actual camera to take pictures because I struggled to get a good picture of the baby meerkats.  They were really cute!
