This was Alden's room when we first moved into our house in December of 2013. Obviously besides painting, we have also moved furniture around as he has gotten bigger.
We decided to paint one wall blue in his room as an accent color.
This was our master bedroom less than a month after we moved in (Don't mind the mess, we were still unpacking).
This is the master bedroom now. We did one wall a deep purple shade as an accent color and the rest are light brown.
This was the kitchen that we moved in to.
The first project that I tackled in there was re-doing the counter tops. I sanded down the original laminate counter tops to make the surface more rough and then sprayed an automobile primer on the counters to give it a solid color base.
I then used a spray paint that gave the counters a stone texture. These pictures were taken after the first coat and I did three more coats after this.

We had our floors redone which was wonderful to get done, but the dust was horrible when they were in the process of taking out the old floor.

Alden loved watching them as they installed the new floor in the kitchen. I was just glad when the whole process was done! We have done so much to the house to improve it and I love it!
This is what our kitchen looked like after we got the new floors in and finished the counter tops. I think it looks much nicer now! Although these projects took quite a bit of time, I am happy with the results and happy that we did them.
