Farm and Pumpkin Patch

Early in October we had a lot of fun going to visit a farm and pumpkin patch with my friend Sarah!  Alden loved all the animals that he got to see, the pumpkins that he got, the play structures and the bounce house.  It was a lot of fun for Alden to just get to explore for a few hours.  I loved getting to be outside and it ended up being another really warm day for Seattle in fall but I was just grateful that we didn't have any rain.

Alden started exploring the minute that we got there!
Alden kept wanting to get close to all the geese but they were scared of him and Alden was scared of the goat that did like him.

Alden did gently touch the horse even though he was a little scared.
Alden loved the kittens!  He had no problem petting those and he wanted to play with them.

They had this cute little train that you could ride around in a little circle.  Alden had fun getting to ride on that with Mommy.  (Thanks to Sarah for taking many of these pictures.)

This was a fun play house that Alden had a blast in.  The slide was attached so he did that a few times and then he found a play kitchen inside that he played at for awhile.
Alden was very intimidated by the bounce house at first but eventually he warmed up to it and loved it.  He especially loved it when he got it all to himself for a little while!
He liked just bouncing in a circle around the middle over and over again.

Such a cute and happy little boy.

Alden really wanted to try this rope swing that they had in one of the barns.  He actually did figure out how to hang on by himself for a few seconds.
These kittens were younger than the other ones so they were still kept away from visitors but Alden loved watching them and trying to play with them!

Alden found this slide on the basketball court and had a lot of fun on it.

Alden then discovered that he really enjoyed rolling all the basketballs down the slide.
At the end we went over and let Alden pick out a little pumpkin that he was really proud of.  He loved his personal pumpkin that was just the right size for him.  I am so glad that Sarah was able to join us on the outing!  It was a really fun outing for everyone involved and I'm glad that I thought of it!
