Wilkinson Family Adventures: Coming Home to Drew

So, Drew ended up coming home while I was away at Sarah and Aaron's wedding. I was disappointed to not be there right when he got home but Drew and I both agreed it was only one more day, which wasn't much when we had already been apart for nine months. Drew did get to go pick up Alden the first morning that he was home and spend his first day home playing and chilling with his now three year old boy. From what they both told me, they had a great time together even though Drew was totally exhausted and a little out of it because of the jet lag.

I was able to surprise Drew and get an earlier flight back from California which was fun! It was fun to actually succeed in surprising him with something because usually I am not very successful when I attempt to be sneaky.

It is so nice to have him back home with us! Everyone keeps asking us if we are happy he is home and we are, but more than that, we feel like we can just take a big sigh of relief now. We survived the nine months and we can go back to our normal lives and stop having to cope with the separation. Having him back just makes me feel like my life is normal and complete again! Every time I see him with my boys it just makes me so happy and I hope you can see all of their joy at being back together in these pictures.

This was the marvelous dinner that Drew made me the night that I came back from California. I felt a little bad that I wasn't the one making dinner for him but it was super yummy!
