Point Defiance Zoo with Katrina

We had a lot of fun going to the zoo with Katrina and seeing all the animals that were out.  Alden had a great time running around and finding animals.  It was fun to let him burn off so much energy as he ran around everywhere.  It was a fun day to just relax and enjoy being outside.  I love getting to spend time with my sister!

This was the first time we saw this little guy out exploring!

Alden loved watching him walk around the tree.

It was fun that the monkeys were huddled up right next to the window so that Alden could see them!

The tigers were all out while we were there and Alden had a lot of fun watching the cubs walk around.

I think these are the three cubs that were born at the zoo last year.

This is the cubs' dad. He was just sitting right at the fence staring at everyone.

The tiger cubs are so adorable!

Alden was really excited that he was able to go feed the birds.  Most of the time when we go this area isn't open but they had just opened up again for the summer season when we went this time.

Alden had so much fun walking around with Katrina and telling her about everything he could see.

The seals and otters were all resting while we were there.

Katrina had to help Alden up so that he could see all of the puffins that were being very entertaining.

This one puffin kept swimming around and splashing like crazy.  It was very entertaining to watch.  Sorry, this isn't a very good video but you can see a little of what the puffins were doing.

A lot of the animals were shedding their winter furs while we were there.  Katrina also had to help Alden see some of the animals, like these caribou. She is such a good aunt to Alden and he totally loves her!

Anders just stayed tucked up snug in his car seat while we walked around.

Alden always wants to go to the touch pools but then he never wants to actually touch anything...Oh, well.  Maybe he will eventually.
