Painting Signs for Daddy

While Katrina was here we were trying to get everything ready for Daddy's homecoming.  We had a lot of fun making these giant signs to hang up for Daddy.  Alden loved to get to paint and I had fun trying to get Alden and Anders' footprints.  It was also fun to let Katrina help us decorate the signs.  Here are some pictures and videos of us decorating the signs.

Alden loves getting to use a paint brush instead of finger painting now.  Here is a video of him using the brush to paint the sign.  It is funny to hear what his interpretation of his paintings is.  You can also hear Katrina and I discussing her painting in the video.

He loved the circle brush that he could use.  Here is a video of him using the brush and telling me about the circles.

Anders just sat in his swing and watched us until I helped him do hand prints and foot prints.

Alden wanted to paint stars for Daddy and it was fun to see him get excited when he finished painting each "star."  Here is a video of it.

This one was fun and a little funny to make.  It is decorated with Anders and Alden's hand and foot prints.  Here are some videos of us making this sign.

This was the finished sign that Alden painted his stars on.  We had a lot of fun making these for Drew and it was really fun getting to hang them up because it meant it was almost time for him to be home with us again.
