Museum of Flight

On the same day that we went to the EMP museum we stopped at the Museum of Flight on the way home and it ended up being really cool.  I actually loved looking at everything there.  The first section we saw had lots of displays from spaceships and rovers.  We also got to go inside a retired Air Force One plane and the Concord.  Drew and I also had a lot of fun looking at all the planes and displays in the WWI and WWII exhibits because we love history.  Alden loved all the planes and had a great time looking at everything there.

Drew and Alden are inside a model spaceship here.

This is inside Air Force One.
Alden loved all the buttons in the cockpit, so it was a good thing he couldn't actually get in there and cause havoc.

This was in the Concord.  It is a very narrow plane.

Drew was very puzzled for awhile, trying to figure out how the wheels would get stored up in the plane before he realized there were compartments for them that were just covered up because the plane is on display.
This was Drew in front of one of his favorite planes in the WWII exhibit.
They had models of pretty much every airplane used during the war by every country.

This was one of my favorite planes at the museum because it is an original plane built during the WWI era.

Alden was very happy looking at everything.
I love days when we get a lot of family time!
One of the funniest things at the museum...A car-plane?
They also had another little display off to the side that we saw on our way out that had more displays on our space exploration.

This was a great outing for all of us because there was something there for all of us to enjoy and discover.  I love taking Alden to new places and teaching him new words as we see lots of different things.  At this museum we got to teach him what a "blimp" is and show him a spaceship.  This was a fun family day and Drew and I love taking Alden to new places and watching him learn and grow because he is changing so fast.
