Now this may sound crazy but the evening of the same day that we went to the EMP museum and Museum of Flight, Drew dropped Alden and me off at the airport so that we could fly to Oklahoma to visit wonderful friends! Alden was a great little traveler for the whole thing! Our flight was supposed to leave at 11:30 PM, but because of delays from a snow storm we didn't leave until 2 AM. Alden was really good considering how late it was. He got really hyper at the airport and wanted to just walk and run around in circles. Then when we got on the plane he didn't like being confined to a seat but the man sitting next to me was very nice and played with buttons with Alden to keep him distracted. As soon as we took off Alden fell asleep and slept for the rest of the flight. Then we had a little bit of a layover in Texas and Alden had a little bit of a meltdown and started to cry but as soon as he got food and some juice he was fine. On our short little flight from Texas to Oklahoma Alden slept the whole flight, so overall I would say it was a fairly successful day of travel with a child.
Alden was very quick to make friends with Amber, their two-year old, when we got there and he had a instant attachment to the little baby, Paige. It was so fun to see them all play together and there are some pictures from them playing together at the mall at the end of the post.
Such a good natured little boy!
We made it to Oklahoma!
One of the first mornings that we were there we took the kids to the play center at the mall.
Both Amber and Alden loved driving the car together!
This was fun watching Amber and Alden on the carousel. Amber loved it but Alden wasn't too sure about riding on his own.
