First Snow of the Year

A couple days after Thanksgiving we woke up to snow.  Granted, it wasn't even an inch and was mostly just enough to coat everything but it was really pretty and Alden had a great time playing in it.  We went out first thing in the morning before the snow had melted so that Alden would be able to take advantage of as much snow as possible.  I loved how Alden would create tiny "snowballs" and then try to throw them.  It was really cute.  We had a fun time enjoying the rare treat of snow at our house.

This was the view out our front window and Alden walking out into the snow.
I let Alden walk around in our street because there were no cars out and because a lot more snow had stuck to the road than the sidewalks.  Here you can see Alden making a "snowball."

This was funny.  Alden was having a great time making and throwing snow until he got some on his face.  He didn't like the cold on his face.  I helped him wipe it off right after taking this photo.
Here you can tell Alden is actually wearing a hat that is way too big for his head, but it was cute.  I thought our house looked very pretty in the snow.

I loved seeing our footprints in the snow as we walked along together.
Alden had such a fun time and it was fun letting him explore and enjoy the snow since it isn't something we get very often at our house.
