I decided to take Alden to go see a live Nativity performance that some friends of ours had kids performing in. I was a little nervous because I didn't know how Alden would do sitting in the theater watching the show but I was surprised. Alden did really well for the first half and kept telling me between the numbers, "More music Mommy." He was very entertained by most of the dance performances, which made me very happy. He got a little bored with some of the slower numbers and he was more restless watching the second half but we made it through and for the first time of having him sit through a show I thought he did really well. I am so glad that he liked it as much as he did. I thought the performance was well done and very pretty and I am glad that we got invited to go watch!
Alden fell asleep on the drive to the theater so he got a short little nap before the show. (And no, I did not drive with him unbuckled, this picture was taken after we had parked.)
This was us waiting for the show to start. Alden kept asking me questions and telling me that the curtain needed to open.
Here is a video of Alden as we were waiting.
Alden wanted to take a picture of the curtain before the show started. I didn't take any pictures of the show but it was well done and very fun to watch.
