After visiting the falls we went into the historic district of Snoqualmie to see a little of the town and see a few old trains that they had on display. We had a very nice lunch at a little restauraunt downtown and we had fun looking at the old trains. Alden loved the old trains and loved that there was one he could climb in and sit in as he pretended to drive it. It was really cute to watch!
Alden had fun watching the waterfall. He was very intrigued by it.
I enjoyed watching the spray come up from the bottom of the waterfall.
Me and our boys on our day outing.
It was overcast and a little chilly but we thought it was great!
We did the hike down to the bottom where you could see the waterfall from a different view and access the river. It was not a very long hike but it was rather steep so I was proud of Alden for doing it on his own.
They use some water diverted from the falls to create power and you could see part of that system on the walk down.
This was the river at the bottom of the falls that I thought was very pretty.
So gorgeous and fun!
Alden and Daddy enjoyed walking and seeing the falls together.
Of course, after seeing the falls, we had to take Alden to the river so that he could throw rocks in the water.
He loved throwing rocks in the water, as always!
It was a very pretty and calm area. It felt pretty secluded for how close we were to town.
Alden's last rock that he threw in the water. He wanted to make sure that it was a big one.
Alden was such a good little hiker for this whole trip!
Alden and Anders at lunch. It was a nice little place with decent food and good service!
Then we went to the trains. I think this was Alden's favorite part of our day!
He loved getting to walk through the trains.
He really liked that this one was little and had a seat that looked like it was just the right size for him.
Drew and I had fun looking at the old train cars and seeing what they were used for.
Anders was a happy little guy in the stroller. He was just along for the ride and happy to be there!
Alden had to go back to the little train again so that he could actually try out the little chair and pretend to drive the train.
He had so much fun fun making the train "go" and "stop."
Here is a little video of Alden on the train. I think it is cute!
We had a lot of fun visiting Snoqualmie Falls and the historic district of Snoqualmie. It was a nice, relaxed outing for our family that was a lot of fun!
