Arcade and Ice Cream

Alden had to get his 4 year old and Anders had to get his 15 month immunizations recently and neither was very happy about that.  Alden absolutely hates shots, like just about every kids I have ever met, and his legs actually really hurt for the whole day after he got them.  I had told Alden that if he got through his shots he would get to pick a treat and he decided that he wanted "white ice cream with no chocolate in it with a cone and candy on top."   So, after we finished at the doctor we went by the grocery store and got vanilla ice cream with cones and he got to pick what candy he wanted to put on top.  He was so excited to get to pick out his treat and then eat it that night after dinner.

Drew also got off of work early that day and we decided to take the boys out to do something fun because they were both having a hard time after their shots that morning.  We found an arcade that wasn't too far away and took the boys there because we thought Alden would enjoy it.  Alden had a ton of fun playing with Drew while Anders and I watched.  The arcade was a little pricey but for an uncommon and special treat it was nice.

Anders was totally happy watching his brother and Dad play arcade games.
I thought it was pretty funny that Drew and Alden had almost identically scores on this game.
Alden trying to catch the big fish.
This was pretty funny to watch.  It is a giant game of angry birds where you tried to fling giant birds at a giant touch screen.  It was actually much harder than it looked.
I love watching Drew and Alden play games together.
Alden was so excited to put his treat together after dinner.
Alden was very careful and precise as he put his candy, Good & Plenty and jelly beans, on top of his ice cream.  (Yes, I know they sound like a wierd combination but it was what he wanted.)
Putting the finishing touches on his candy.
Alden loved his ice cream!
He was such a happy boy with his treat and I am glad that it made his day a little better after having to get his shots.
