The museum ended up being a nice stop for our family because there were things there to interest all of us. They had a couple rooms with museum displays at the front and then they had one room with model trains and tons of toys for the kids to play with. Alden and Anders both really enjoyed playing with all of the toys. Then at the back of the museum there was a whole room with model trains that went around. There were lots of buttons to push that made different things move and started some of the trains. Alden loved watching all the model trains and enjoyed finding out what all of the buttons did. This was a great way to spend the morning and the timing worked out well because the storm had just about passed by the time we were done there.
Starting to look around the museum.
Alden liked looking around and had lots of questions and Anders was just happy to walk around.
Both boys loved looking at all the signs and the signal lights.
Alden had fun learning what these lights meant.
They had an old black and white movie playing that Drew and Alden had fun watching for awhile.
Then it was in to the toy room, where they also had a fun model train track set up.
Anders loved trying all of the different toys with his brother.
Alden had a lot more fun playing with all the trains that I thought he was going to.
Both boys finally climbed in this caboose and had fun playing around and looking out the windows.
Alden liked it when he found the little window at the top.
Alden liked being inside the caboose.
Then we got to the room at the back that was entirely full of model train set ups. There were tons of buttons to push that made different things move and Alden loved that.
Alden exploring and figuring out where all of the trains go.
Anders even found some buttons that he liked to press that made all of the carnival rides move.
Outside they had an old caboose that you could go inside.
Alden loved getting inside the caboose and looking around.
My boys all had a lot of fun exploring here!
They also had an old engine out front that you could climb on, which Alden loved.
Alden loved sitting in the conductor's seat!
They also had an old rail car that you could go inside.
This was the engine that Alden loved climbing on one last time before we left. This was a fun way to spend our morning before we headed to our next adventure.
