Gingerbread Houses

We had a lot of fun making Gingerbread Houses together as a family!  Last year we made gingerbread houses, but Drew made his half-way around the world while Alden and I made them at home so it was nice to be able to all make them together.

This year we actually only built one gingerbread house and then I made a gingerbread Christmas tree.  Alden had a lot of fun helping Daddy and putting candy on the frosted Gingerbread house.  I am really glad that we have made Gingerbread houses a family tradition, especially since Alden enjoys making them so much!

Alden helped "supervise" Daddy as he frosted the house.

Eventually Drew got annoyed with trying to be precise, so he just squeezed the rest of the frosting onto the roof.

Alden just thought that it was really funny!

Alden then helped put candies on the top of the Gingerbread house and on the sides of Mommy's Christmas tree.

This was our finished tree and Gingerbread house that we had so much fun making.
