The Victorian Country Christmas

We had so much fun going to visit the Christmas event at the fair grounds again this year.  It was one of the first things we did after we moved into our house two years ago and so it is something that reminds me of when we were just starting out in Washington.  I have loved our time here and I have loved taking part in the Christmas festivities every year we have been here.

Drew and I love looking at all the different booths to see what people are selling and if there is anything really interesting.  Alden enjoys seeing the decorations, lights, Santa Clause and riding the Carousel.  Anders enjoyed riding around in the stroller and he was even really happy to sit on Santa's lap with Alden.  This was a fun day and a great way to start our Christmas festivities.

We always let ourselves get one treat here and this time it was a chocolate caramel apple.  This was Alden trying it but after this he didn't want any more.
Alden just sat and watched Daddy and I eat the apple.  We tried to get him to try more but he just wasn't interested.  He thought that the chocolate was making the apple dirty.
Drew enjoying the apple while I made Anders smile.
Alden was so excited to get to go ride on the carousel!  I remember, not that long ago, when Alden was scared of the carousel and now he absolutely loves it!

After riding the carousel once we went to go visit Santa.  This was the boys waiting to go see him.

We even got both boys to smile and sit on his lap.  Alden was happy to tell Santa exactly what he wanted.  He told him he wanted a Snoopy in a green present.  It is the only thing he has asked anyone for recently.  I was just glad that both boys were happy to see Santa and we had no crying because when we went a couple years ago Alden was not happy about it.
This picture is from Christmas 2 years ago.  I had to sit with Alden on the floor because he was terrified of Santa and didn't want to go anywhere near him.  So, I would call this year's Santa visit a success.

After visiting Santa we went back to the carousel and Daddy got to ride with Alden.
They had fun pretending to race on the horses.

It was also fun to see the lights around the fair grounds as we left.  We had a really fun time and it was a good outing for us with something interesting and fun for everyone.
