4th of July Fireworks

After having our 4th of July barbecue we went out to the front yard of my in-laws house and set up on their court to do fireworks.  It was really neat because there were a bunch of people on their court doing fireworks so we got to watch everyone's.  Anders actually ended up being so tired that he didn't want to do fireworks.  He wanted to go to bed, so he missed out on all of them but at least he was more rested for the next day.  Alden got really into the sparklers and enjoyed doing tons of those while watching the bigger fireworks.  Alden also loved the parachute men that he got to run and try and catch as they floated down.  He actually managed to catch the last one and everyone clapped for him.  It was really cute to see!

Drew had fun setting off most of the fireworks and, of course, setting up his tank battle.  He loves setting up lots of the little firework tanks to fire at each other.  It was fun to see all the neat fireworks and be in a place where tons of people set off aerials, even if it can be a little dangerous at times.  We were all safe and just had a good time!

Looking at the carnage afterwards.
Alden had a lot of fun watching everything going on while he played with his sparklers.

One of the parachute men he got to go grab.
He caught one!! He was so excited!
Watching the little fountain fireworks.
Eliza got held by lots of different family members.  I am glad that both Drew's and my families got together for this holiday.
Enjoying the fireworks.
Drew getting the fireworks set up.
I am a sucker for the fountains.  I think they are simple but really pretty!
Alden really enjoyed the show.
It is fun to be able to set off some aerial fireworks too.

Here are some of the fireworks from that night.
Aunt Kenzie helping Alden with his sparklers!
He looked so serious when he was holding them because he was focused on being safe. It was a great 4th of July and I am so grateful for the family that we got to spend it with!
Alden really enjoyed the sparklers!
