North Rim Trail

On our second day in the park we started by going over to the "grand canyon of Yellowstone," as it was described to us.  We hiked along the north rim trail and it gave us some awesome views of the canyon below.  It was fun to see the river flowing below us and see some waterfalls down in the canyon.  We also got to see some wildlife and just enjoy some spectacular views.  Alden was so excited to get to do this hike because he has been asking to visit the Grand Canyon for awhile now, but this was good enough for now for him.

This was a little stop we made on our way to the north rim hike.
I loved seeing the river and waterfalls below.
Anders loved seeing the water at the stop and Alden loved seeing the little ground squirrels that would come really close to you.
Anders loved the waterfall!
The boys had fun climbing rocks together and pointing out birds that were flying!

This was the start of the North Rim hike.
There was an falcon (?? I can't remember for sure what type of bird it was) nest that we had fun looking at.
Everyone enjoying the views.  Grandpa was very aware of how high up we were and keep a close eye on my boys.

There were some amazing views on the hike that I loved!  I thought it was beautiful and I am glad we did this hike!
