Clear Lake

After we visited the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone we found a picnic area nearby to eat lunch at.   We enjoyed a picnic there before setting out on another hike to Clear Lake.  I think this might have been my favorite hike of the whole trip.  It wasn't necessarily the most unique but it took us through some beautiful meadows up in the mountains and we stopped at a beautiful lake, even if it did smell bad.  I don't know why but I just felt so much peace on this hike.  I love places like this because it is where I truly feel like I can take a breather from the stresses and problems in my life and focus on all the good things in my life.  I am so glad that I got to visit this place with my family and have these memories to share with them!

Grandma getting some cuddle time while I looked at trail maps at lunch.
Anders loved playing with the rocks and dirt at the lunch spot.
Beautiful fields with bison in them.
I love my time with my family...I can't say that enough.
Anders was a good little hiker for most of the way.
I just loved the views.  These pictures do not do it justice.
We made it to Clear Lake.  It was beautiful but it did smell very strongly of sulfur.
Anders loved throwing rocks into the lake.
Anders and Daddy enjoying relaxing at the lake.
The reflection in the lake was amazing!
Dad taking pictures and Anders throwing more rocks.

Eliza enjoying some time out of the carrier.
He was so happy there!
Our precious family!
Alden loved exploring and looking around at everything!
Eliza getting some Daddy time!
Heading back.
Eliza was done with the carrier by the time we were heading back so me and my mom switched off carrying her.
It meant that we got some sweet pictures of her.
Eliza and Grandma with a bison.  It was a beautiful hike and definitely one I would do again if I was back in Yellowstone.
