Monterey Bay Aquarium

While we visited California we got to do our day trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  I love taking the kids here every time we visit California and the kids always enjoy it.  This was Eliza's first trip and it was fun to see her focus on all the different animals, especially the jelly fish, which Alden also loved at that age.  The boys had a great time running between all the exhibits to see all the creatures and Alden loved any chance he had to ask questions.  I really do love how inquisitive he is because it shows how much he wants to learn!

Eliza loved watching the jelly fish.
Eliza and Alden loved watching the jelly fish.
Staring very intently...
I think jelly fish are really cool because they are one of the most interesting and unique creatures in the world.
The kids all loved watching this school of fish.
So many interesting things to see....
Alden and Anders were both very entertained the whole time we were there.
Anders was so excited; he found Dory!
Anders was very content to stay and watch Dory and Nemo for quite awhile.
Alden loved all the hands on exhibits!
We let Eliza out of the stroller to crawl around on this waterbed for awhile.  She was not quite sure what to make of it.
Eliza is such a cutie!
Alden found an egg to sit in.
I love that the aquarium is built right on the water so that we can look out the windows for wildlife.  We could see some otters and tons of birds out the windows.
Anders was fascinated by the touch pools but didn't want to actually touch anything.
Alden was finally willing to hold a shell after one of the workers showed him how he could make water drain through it.
Other than that he wouldn't touch anything but he loved asking questions.
The boys loved all the hands on exhibits.
They were both very happy running from exhibit to exhibit to look at everything.
The Baja California exhibit is cool because it also has desert animals like tortoises and lizards.
I especially liked these eels.  I think eels are a very interesting creature and in their own (creepy) way, very beautiful.  We had an awesome day, as always, visiting the aquarium.
