Dongdaemun and Namdaemun

Last week I went and visited a new market on Thursday with someone from the ward.  It is called Dongdaemun and is where we had been told you could go to find fabric and any other craft or sewing supplies that you might need.  The market was huge and a little overwhelming because there were so many different things to see.  They had buildings that were five stories tall filled with nothing but fabric and sewing supplies.  They had other areas that had everything you could want to make jewelry, other craft supplies and so much more.  Here are just a couple pictures of the market.  The second picture is the best demonstration of what most of the market looked like.  It was fun walking around there and seeing everything.

On Friday Drew and I got to go back to Namdaemun market again and had fun wandering the streets, trying new food and just being outside.  Below are a few pictures of us trying a new food.  It was a batter that was filled with noodles and vegetables and fried up.  It was really yummy and only cost 1000 won which is less than a dollar.  We are really enjoying trying different foods here.

Drew found this trumpet in the market and decided that it looked like a good toy for Alden.  Alden loves it and loves making noise on it. It is fun watching and listening him use it but I will admit that sometimes I just make it disappear for a little while. =)

We are having a lot of fun exploring and visiting new places whenever we have the chance!
