Electronics Market and Alden Gaining Independence

On Wednesday last week we went over to the Electronics Market near iPark mall to look around and see what they had.  It was a very interesting experience....The way Drew described it was a little similar to Fry's but 10 tens bigger and ten times more disorganized.  It was really cool walking through there and looking at everything they sold there.  They sold computers, all the parts to build your own computer, TVs, headphones, hard drives, DVDs, video games, video game systems, mice and tons more.  We didn't even walk through a lot of the market because we only went through the first floors of all the buildings and then as we were leaving realized it looked like there were four more floors in all the buildings to walk through.  Drew and I felt a little overwhelmed with everything there was to look at and find but we had a good time looking!

On our way back home we stopped at iPark mall and tried the burger place that is supposedly the Korean version of McDonald's here in Korea....Drew and I were not really impressed.  The food was fine but not really great which is probably to be expected from a fast food burger place. However, Alden loved the chance he had to get out of the carrier and then walk around while we ate and on the way out of the mall.  It is fun watching as Alden walks more and more and now he is starting to refuse to hold one of our hands while he walks.  He wants to do it all by himself!

Eating at Lotteria.  Alden just wanted to watch Daddy eat...he didn't really eat much himself, even though we got him chicken strips.

I'm still not quite sure what these were but they were cute and heart shaped!  Sadly they only tasted OK.
Alden really wanted to walk everywhere and, as you can tell here, try and get into everything.  Here are a couple videos of him walking and dancing around.  Video 1  Video 2
Outside iPark mall they had a place ot test the new Microsoft tablet which was fun.  Both Drew and I thought the tablet seemed really nice.

We passed a telephone booth on the way home and stopped because we thought it was cool.  We are entertained very easily!
Okay, now you would think that a place with pretty flowers like this would smell good, right?  Wrong!  It smells like sewage here just like lots of places in Korea.

Once we got home from our whole outing Alden just wanted to put his hat on and walk around with it, even though he refused to wear it the whole time we were actually outside!  I love my little boy!
