The storm lasted for about 45 minutes and after it had passed we decided to go on a little walk. It was still sprinkling but the clouds were quickly moving away and the thunder and lightning had stopped. We walked from our room down to the beach and then walked along the beach for a little ways, while we enjoyed the scenery. It was really pretty but also weird for both Drew and me to have the sun setting opposite the ocean, instead of behind it like the west coast.
We had a fun first night in Myrtle Beach and were really excited to go explore more and really play on the beach the next day.
The water was coming down extremely heavy so we got drenched in the 20 second run from the car to the room.
We were so glad that we didn't have to drive in this weather! It was fun to watch the storm and listen to it outside, knowing that we were dry and comfortable inside.
We enjoyed a nice dinner in the room as we watched and listened to the storm.
Alden was watching Finding Nemo and it got interrupted a couple times with the "Severe Thunderstorm Warning."
Storms really do pass quickly here, so it was nice to be able to go out for a short walk after the storm passed.
Alden was excited to get out and walk and explore.
We made it to the Atlantic Ocean!
It was windy on the beach but the breeze felt nice because it was still hot outside.
Watching the sun set behind the buildings, instead of the ocean.
I love my boys and I am so glad that we got to go see this together!
Alden loved walking along the beach and seeing the sand castles and giant sea turtles people had shaped out of sand.
It was a really nice, peaceful and pretty evening walk on the beach.
