Farmers Market

We had a lot of fun going to Soda City, a farmers market in downtown Columbia, on Saturday with some friends.  I was interested in seeing what kinds of fresh produce they had and what else was for sale there.  Alden was happy to look at all the food for sale and get a doughnut to eat.   The farmers market wasn't huge but it was a nice size (about two blocks long) and they did have a variety of food for sale and some booths selling home decor, hats and other things.

It was a fun morning and I was happy that I was able to buy some fresh produce there.  There was one booth selling produce where you got to fill a box for $10 with a variety of produce that they had there.  I got blackberries, blueberries, squash, carrots, pineapple, peaches, peppers and an apple.  All of the produce that we have eaten so far has tasted great and I definitely felt like I got my money's worth.  Overall it was a successful and fun morning exploring a new part of Columbia.

Alden with his chocolate doughnut with sprinkles.  He thought it was really yummy!
Alden had fun watching this fountain and playing near it while I got the produce.
There were quite a few people there but it wasn't too crowded.   It also wasn't too hot because it was overcast so it was a pleasant day to be outside.
Me and my friend with our boxes of produce.  It was a fun morning and I will definitely be going back!
