Building 63

It was raining fairly hard for part of Saturday so we had to pick an indoor activity to go do.  So, we went to building 63 which is a 63 story building that has a wax museum, aquarium among other things you can visit in the basement and an art gallery on the 60th floor that also has a great view of the surrounding city.  Alden had a great time at the aquarium, again.  He seriously loves fish so much we might have to get him a fish tank when we move to Washington.  It is so great to see him so happy around animals.  Here are the pictures from our day at building 63.

The bronze building is building 63.

We love penguins!
Alden being so calm and mellow now that he sees fish again.

Alden and Daddy having fun seeing different fish.  There were so many fish Alden didn't know what to focus on.  Here is a video.
The sea otters came right up in front of Alden.

This was pretty cool.  They had a synchronized swimmer do a show in one of the fish tanks.

These are called Doctor fish and they eat dead skin.  You could stick your fingers in these little holes to let them eat the dead skin off your fingers.  It tickled a little and felt a little funny.  Alden enjoyed sticking his fingers in there but I'm still not sure his fingers were actually long enough to reach the water.

Alden was not very happy when it was time to leave the aquarium to get lunch.  However, once we started feeding him he was fine.
Drew tried the Korean version of spaghetti for lunch and said that it was good.
Next we went to the wax museum which was a lot of fun to visit.

I'm not sure why they had all the teddy bears in a wax museum but they were cute.

The last thing we visited was the art gallery on the 60th floor.  As you will see in the photos, since it was cloudy and raining we couldn't see too far.

They had some interesting art work.  Alden liked these blocks that he could play with.  Here is a video of him and Drew playing with the blocks.

So, we had a really fun day trying to stay dry.  We really are having a blast seeing so many new things here in Korea and I am starting to realize that there are some things that I am really going to miss about this country when I come back to the US.
