Jeju Island: Seopjikoji and Jeju Folk Village

So, for the second part of Sunday we stopped at a place called Seopjikoji which was pretty much a place to just walk along the coast.  It was pretty but extremely crowded with tourists which got a little frustrating.  I would guess that there were about 15 tour buses there in the 45 min that we were there.  But, it was still pretty and it was a nice walk.

After walking around Seopjikoji we drove a little ways to the Jeju Folk Village.  It was a traditional folk village that you could walk around in and they also had traditional shops that were actually open, like a wood shop and calligraphy studio.

This picture on the right shows shoes you would wear to walk on sand.  They look a little like snow shoes.
 A single-pillar home.

This was the wood shop and some carvings.

I'm not sure why but they had rocks placed to form hearts in multiple places in the village.

Alden and Daddy got to find their way through another maze park.

I thought these looked really cool.
This was a game they had that you could play.  The problem was that all the instructions were in Korean so Drew decided he would make up his own rules and win.
Drew tried to tell me to start making him bread with this...Yeah right.

Alden enjoyed riding in the stroller for most of the time.

This was the only game we could actually figure out how to play.  Here is a video of Drew playing it.

This was the point at which Alden decided he was done with the stroller and wanted to walk and help push the stroller rather than ride.

They were performing traditional Korean dances here.  Here is a video of a little of what we saw.  (Sorry I don't have more but my camera was dying.)

So, that was the rest of our second day on Jeju Island.  I hope you enjoyed seeing all the pictures. I will post more soon!
