Gardner Village

We had a lot of fun going to visit Gardner Village with Drew's brother and his family where they had a bunch of witch displays set up for Halloween.  It was a fun outing that started really well but unfortunately, had an abrupt ending when Alden took a bad fall.  He is fine and it ended up not being too serious but Alden split his lip open and, understandably, he was very upset.  His lip bled a lot so we took him back to Drew's brother's house so we could clean him up a little bit and let him take it easy for the rest of the day. It actually worked out pretty well because we just got to relax and visit with Drew's brother and wife for the rest of the day while the kids played.

Alden was so excited to get to start exploring with Daddy.

Everything was decorated for Halloween so there was a lot to see.

Alden was more interested in the ducks in the water than the witch.

They had tons of different witches stationed outside different shops.

All the kids got really excited when they got to run around chasing bubbles from one of the booths.

Alden had a ton of fun...until he crashed.  He unfortunately tripped and fell on his face and split his lip open.  Luckily it was not bad enough that he needed stitches but it still gave Drew and me quite a scare.

So, we went back to Matt and Lani's where we rested and relaxed for the afternoon.

However, he was very content to sit at their computer and play games for awhile.

Drew got the privilege of being the boys play toy for part of the afternoon as all the cousins teamed up against Drew in a wrestling match.

It took all five of the little boys to pin Drew.  It was cute to see how hilarious they thought the whole thing was.

My sister-in-law took these adorable pictures of Anders while we were there that I just had to share.  I feel like they show so well how happy and easy-going he is.

I adore my sweet little baby.

Mommy and son!  We sure do love our cuddle time during naps and quiet time!  

I am so glad that we got to spend the day with family and I am glad that the cousins all got to play together.  It was too bad that the day was a little hard for Alden but luckily he seemed to bounce back pretty quickly and it was just a minor injury that healed in a few days.
