Visiting with the Hoopers

It was really nice to be able to see some of my family while we were in Utah too and visit with them.  It was a lot of fun visiting with my aunt and uncle, my cousin and brother and sister.  Alden had fun playing with everyone and Anders made anything he could get his hands on into a toy.  His favorite toy was an empty soda bottle that he had lots of fun with.

Alden had a ton of fun playing with trains, legos, spiders, flashlights, nerf guns and more with my cousin, Xander and Uncle Rick.  It was fun to watch Alden figure out how to build with legos, because he had never used them before.  The other very memorable thing they did was go looking for spiders and rats in the garage with flashlights.  Alden was so excited when he found a giant spider and he even managed to scare Mommy with a rat stuffed animal that he found.  It was a lot of fun for all of us.

More time that Anders got to spend with Katrina, and as you can tell, they both enjoyed it!

My brother was kind enough to make a birthday cake for Drew while we were there (since we were there just a few weeks after his birthday) which was neat!  I was proud of my brother for making cake (from a box) and I thought it was funny that my sister had to help show him how to frost the cake (he was using a can).  But, it came out tasting good so that was a success!
