Pumpkin Patch Trip

Drew got a Friday off of work for some reason and so we took advantage of that and went to a pumpkin patch near our house together. It was free to get in and walk around so we had fun exploring and letting Alden play in some different areas.  Alden had a great time, even though it was a little chilly.  He had fun doing duck races, coloring, looking at animals, picking a pumpkin and just walking around.  It was a fun outing for our family and a great way to kick off October!

Alden had a lot of fun racing rubber ducks along the rain gutters.
The kid across from him was much bigger and faster so Alden always had an abundance of rubber ducks in front of him.
Here is a video of Alden doing the rubber duck races.  He was not very competitive and pretty relaxed about it but he had fun!

They had some cool decorations out that were fun to see.

Alden coloring his picture of a turkey.

Alden looking at some of the animals.
Alden had fun learning how you would milk a cow and trying to do it on the model one.
Alden loves posing in these cutouts!
Exploring the pumpkin patch and seeing one of the giant spiders.

Daddy and Alden picking out a pumpkin to carve together.

Anders had fun rolling around in the stroller and hanging out with Mommy.

My boys together at the pumpkin patch.
Alden even got to do a pumpkin slingshot with Daddy that he thought was a lot of fun.
Here is a video of their first try at the slingshot.

Drew had to try it by himself once to see how close he could get without Alden.  The target was so far away that you had to practically lay on the ground to try and get close to hitting it.  We had a great time and really enjoyed our outing to the pumpkin patch!
