Lake Sylvia State Park

On our way back home from Westport, we decided to stop at a small state park along our drive near Montesano.  We just happened to see Lake Sylvia State Park on a map and decided it might make a nice stop.  We used it as a place to get out and stretch our legs and we got to explore a little.  It was a beautiful little state park and we loved the trails and walk we took there.  We did not get to explore and hike as much as we would have liked but we still had a really good time.  I honestly found this park to be a beautiful little hidden gem, so I am extremely glad that we stopped there.

It was rather chilly while we were there, so there were very few other people there and it was really peaceful.
Alden was excited, as always, to get to walk around a lake and throw rocks in the water.
The lake and area around it were really pretty.

Anders was such a sweetie.  I love carrying him in the carrier because I get to cuddle with him and hold him close.

This was a neat bridge over the lake.
This was the water running out of the lake, which was also fun to watch.
It was such a peaceful place and I loved that!
We found a trail and started hiking.  We couldn't hike very far because we weren't dressed appropriately but what we saw was really interesting and pretty.  I wish we could have hiked more but I guess it just gives us a reason to go back.

There were some birds on the lake that the boys had fun watching.  This was a really fun, surprise stop and I am so glad that we took the time for it.
